FABRICATION AND CONSTRUCTION NOTES
The hat is worked in two sections: the hat band is knit flat in the fluted fabric stitch and then constructed; the crown is picked up from the top edge of the hat band and worked in stockinette stitch in the round. The scarf is worked flat in the fluted fabric stitch; the edges are enclosed in a stockinette binding.
