Beginning with an analysis of the visual effects of garments – but why some garments enhance the wearer while others draw attention to the garment itself – the first part of this workshop explores the criteria by which to judge garment fit, silhouette, structure and fiber suitability and enables participants to establish an individualized baseline that will allow deviations with an understanding of the effect they will cause. During the second part of the workshop, participants create a full-size sloper of a basic pullover sweater customized to each participant’s individual measurements.
