Buttonholes and Pockets

Some of the most often-heard complaints of knitters involve ill-fashioned buttonholes and pockets that sag, gape or have borders that pull too tightly. Participants in this workshop practice various buttonhole techniques, both traditional and couture, and learn a few tips for buttonholes of all sizes along with suggestions for the best ways to attach buttons to knitted garments. All manner of pocket construction from the easiest of patch pockets to innovative in-seam placement of shaped kangaroo pockets and double-knit slanted pockets are explored through in-class sampling of the various techniques.
