Patterns and Fair Use
Purchase of a pattern signals the purchaser’s agreement in full with the terms of copyright and fair use: the pattern is to be used for personal, non-commercial use only; it may not be reproduced in any form, either electronic or print, for dissemination or sale; no garment may be knit from a pattern for sale or other commercial gain.
Pricing and Taxes
All prices are quoted in US dollars. Residents of New York State will be assessed local and state sales taxes on their purchases appropriate to their tax jurisdiction. Customers outside of New York will not be assessed sales tax but should be aware that they are responsible for any applicable state sales taxes that may be required within their own state.
Shipping
Orders are attended to promptly. Because our yarns and kits are custom prepared for each order, we take great care in their preparation and assembly; they normally ship within four weeks of receipt of the order. Within the US, orders are shipped via US Priority Mail; foreign orders are shipped via US Global Priority Mail. Upon request, expedited delivery is available for an additional charge. Foreign customers should be aware that Catherine Lowe//The Couture Knitting Workshop cannot be responsible for any customs or duty taxes or for any brokerage fees that may be assessed on international shipments.
Returns and Refunds
Only single fiber, non-custom color blends of Catherine Lowe Couture Yarns may be returned for exchange or credit to the customer’s Couture Knitting Workshop account only. The return must be made within 10 days of the date of receipt as indicated by the shipper’s delivery confirmation records and will be subject to a 25% re-stocking fee. Any yarn returned must be in resalable condition and the customer will be responsible for both the original and return shipping/insurance fees. Blends and custom orders of Catherine Lowe Couture Yarns, as well as patterns, kits, needles, notions and any other purchase made from The Couture Knitting Workshop may not be returned for exchange or credit. The Couture Knitting Workshop will not accept responsibility for any damage done to yarns due to mishandling or improper treatment of the fiber. The Couture Knitting Workshop reserves the right to deny exchange or credit when it determines the returned item does not meet the above conditions. Our yarns are distinctive and innovative; we invite customers not familiar with them to purchase shade cards, a yarn sampler or a 100 yard ball before making a larger purchase.
Canceled Orders
Cancelled orders are subject to restrictions similar to those that apply to purchases: a cancellation must be received within 10 days of the date of the original order and will be credited to the customer’s Couture Knitting Workshop account only. The amount credited will reflect a 25% cancellation fee.
Privacy Statement
Catherine Lowe//The Couture Knitting Workshop respects the privacy of all personal information collected from its customers. Any information collected is used solely to process orders and workshop/retreat registrations and to communicate with customers regarding their orders and registration requests. An email address provided for subscription to The Couture Knitting News will be used solely and specifically for this purpose. In no case will any information, including addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers, and billing information, be sold, traded or rented to another entity.
Color Fidelity
Every effort has been made to represent yarn colors as accurately as possible. However, due to differences in browsers and monitors, we are unable to guarantee that colors are accurately rendered on individual monitors.
